Audio Books
Audio books are offered in both cassette tape and compact disc formats
and are located in the Audio/Visual section of The Library.

Holiday Books
The Library begins displaying its collection of
holiday books shortly after Thanksgiving. They are arranged together for your
convenience and can be reserved like any other book.
- Large-Print Books
Large-print, fictional novels are offered by The
Library and are shelved separately in the fiction stacks. These can be
identified by the red sticker with white "LP" text on the spine of the book.

Movies
Movies are offered in both VHS and DVD format. The movies offered by
The Library vary in genre and titles are available for both children and
adults. Children's titles are can be found in the children's area while
adult titles are located in the Audio/Visual section.

Music
Music is offered to patrons in compact disc format. Titles are available
for both children and adults. Children's titles are located in the children's
area while adult titles can be found in the Audio/Visual section.

Mysteries
Mysteries are offered by The Library in both
hardcover and paperback. The hardcover mysteries are shelved separately in the
fiction stacks while the paperback mysteries are grouped with the other
paperbacks. Mysteries can be identified by the round, blue sticker of a
magnifying glass on the spine of the book.

New York Times Best Seller's
Books
The Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights marks all New York
Times Best Sellers with a special pink spine label. Check the copy of the
current New York Times Best Seller list on the New Fiction Shelf, listing all
the current best sellers which the library owns and their location.

Paperbacks
A collection of paperbacks is located in the Fiction
stacks of The Library. Many mysteries, romance novels, and other stories are
offered in paperback copies.

Reading List Books
Reading list books are available for students
year-round and are located in the young adult section of The Library. They can
be identified by the white tape on the bottom portion of the spine as well as
the hardcover protection on these paperback books.

Oprah's Book Club Books
Oprah Winfrey, host of the popular television talk show, started a book club
in 1996. Oprah selects books which she and her viewers read and then discusses
them on television. Many patrons are interested in taking these books out
from libraries across Bergen County.
The Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights owns all of the books selected

Young Adult Books
The Library has a section devoted to young adults
which contains magazines as well as a large collection of paperback and
hardcover books written just for young adults. Books which fall into this
category have a red sticker with "YA" in white lettering on the spine.
